Star Trek Beyond's Jaylah (Sofia Boutella) is sitting pretty in the captain's chair. I've added Spock, Kirk and Dr McCoy's thoughts on alien life form stand operating procedures - for some fun. Transwarp theories and equations aside our Enterprise pals do seem a wee bit mesmerized in this photoshop. Perhaps Jaylahs ample warp nacelles need adjustment, lol
The guy here in RED, Scotty sets the ball rolling with "AWW shes a beauty!" So without further a do "Two to beam over, Scotty!" the word is now given by Captain James T Kirk commander of the USS Enterprise NCC1701.
QUESTIONS:
Who stands the best chance of speaking to Jaylah first?
Which one of the Enterprise crew said : "I only use it for medicinal purposes!"

The 89th Oscar Academy Awards is honoring the best films for 2016 and is set to kick off on Sunday, February 26 2017. So is Star Trek Beyond in with a good chance of winning? OR Star Wars for that matter? Winning what? (I hear you cry,) all right, all right! Apparently trekkers, Trekcore is reporting that Joel Harlow and Richie Alonzo created the cool alien atmosphere for Starbase Yorktown.
So hilarious when Dr McCoy walks onto the USS Enterprise NCC 1701 bridge after Chekov declares: "WOW, That is impressive" "Awe shes a beauty isn't she?" replies Scotty "What a Damn Monstrosity! - Couldn't we just rent some space on a planet?
So now Suicide Squad and a Man Called Ove have to set their Prosthetics on MAXIMUM to beat Star Trek Beyond's high Alien standard.
So okay, In the visual effects preliminary. there were 20 movies. Star trek Beyond got shortlisted yet again just like Star Trek Into Darkness.
Yet Star Trek Beyond did qualify for an Oscar Nomination! Fact. Its true!!! Curiously Star Trek 2009 won an Oscar for makeup and now deja vu, we're back for Best Makeup and Hairstyle in 2017!
Did Star Trek Beyond deserve a final VISUAL EFFECTS Oscar Nomination?
Its Star Treks 50th Anniversary so you'll be sure to have something to enjoy with STAR TREK BEYOND. You might say this is Chekov's last stand in this adventurous new Star Trek movie. The action sequences are thrilling and the visual effects are stunning.
So go see Beyond you'll be delighted that you did. Its got a cold hearted villain Krall who chews up the landscape and interesting to see new Spock trying to understand his own death in the movie- in loving memory of Leonard Nimoy and for Anton.
Its been a busy week for Sci-Fi with Star Trek Beyond showing in
London last week and Sydney too. I'm not counting my tribbles yet before
they become fully gorged but STB is 90% on Rotten Tomatoes and 71% on Metacritic so far.
So now Star Trek Beyond is set for US
release on the 22nd of July 2016 and is opening up in theaters
worldwide and beyond.
We've been waiting for 3 sensational years to see a new STAR TREK movie
since STID. How long is that? Approx 1095 days. I hope you're all set for a
trektastic time!
The question in my mind is: why did Captain Kirk
wreck the bl**dy ship again? Is it
really the Captain's fault the Enterprise got ravaged by alien "Swarms"
with their leader "Krall at the heart of the matter? Word has it Idris Elba's character means business because he wants the "ITEM", badly.
Scotty, Jaylah and Kirk
Ahhha! I hear you ask. What is the item? SPOILER ALERT: So now the five year mission for the USS Enterprise NCC 1701 is finally justified when the crew discover this ancient "death machine" in the furthest reaches of unexplored space. But do they know what it is? It seems
time is running out for our Gallant Crew and worse still for the
Federation itself.
Unity and Peace in the Galaxy may very well depend upon our friends very survival.
Three
years into the Enterprise's five-year deep-space mission our mysterious Swarm ringleader Krall (Idris Elba) sees an opportunity. He has to get the ancient "death machine" of
ultimate power, an artifact which Kirk's crew are custodians. I know
what your thinking - its looking hopeless because the Enterprise crew are stranded on an alien planet!!! Hey. At least Scotty teams up
with feisty Jaylah (Sofia Boutella), a potential love interest if
only he'd stop calling her lassie.
The good news is Paramounts 3D and; 2D Star Trek threequel is directed
by (Fast and Furious) Justin Lin (produced by J.J. Abrams) How many
of our movie predictions will come true? 40 stunt people is a good
indication of where Star Trek Beyond is headed with special effects
and alien relationships evolving with this interstellar space
adventure. Curiously Star Trek Into Darkness had 90 reinforcements. Why is Uhura screaming with the grey alien looking on?
IMAGE OWNER/CREATOR: PARAMOUNT PICTURES AND OR CBS STUDIOS
MattTwentySix had this to say: It's a little Insurrection-ish once they're planet-
side. There's another major twist with the villain (though I enjoyed
it). But it gets the characters really right. It basically has a
fantastic first act, an okay second act, and a fun ending that both
serves as an ending to this cast and a jump-start to further
adventures with them.
What do you think? Have you got your "Starfleet" T-shirt all nice and
pressed for the movie? XD, Go on do tell us if you have!
Star Trek Beyond kicked off for its UK debut in London Monday last with British Star Trek fans squealing in delight and super sci-fi fans flying in from across the waters to see their Star Trek heroes at Leicester Square. Trekcore have an awesome gallery of 65 STB Premiere shots taken from the July 12th seen here.. You can watch the white carpet extravaganza for STB's British Premiere for fun - here. Were you in the audience?
Heres a recent photo of the villain 'Krall' played by Idris Elba for the next trek movie - STAR TREK BEYOND on 22nd July. It turns out Elba revealed this photo of himself looking mean from the movies set. (Trekcore)
It seems Krall is ready to unleash his burning hatred upon the
Federation for reasons not yet known except for a "GLOWING GREEN ARTIFACT" as the only clue and guess where it is? So now we guess why the
swarm ships attack the USS Enterprise NCC 1701.
Heres the third major Star Trek Beyond trailer by Director Justin Lin.. Hes the real deal with Star Wars Director JJ Abrams producing Star Trek Beyond. So now this trekkie blockbuster is set to hit movie theaters in REAL 3D and IMAX 3D for 22nd July. However the sudden death of Anton Yelchin has affected everyone who knew the poor lad at home and abroad. Trailer #3 features a striking song by Barbadian music artist Robyn Rihanna Fenty with "Sledgehammer"
Shes one of the more popular songwriters/singers on the face of the planet with sales exceeding 200 million records worldwide. Robyn is big Star Trek news and has a beautiful voice. So now here she is giving her song to Star Trek Beyond. You guys will just have to watch the movie to enjoy her music which is remarkable and operatic enough to give the Enterprise crew all the punch they deserve. "I hit a wall"
Will Rihanna's voice steal the show?
or will Director Justin Lin win the audience over with his fast and furious moves in Star Trek Beyond?
Star Trek Beyonds latest addition for the thirteenth is finally
shaping up with the master of disguise - J.J.Abrams producing and Justin Lin directing. So now heres trailer 3.
Its
five year mission has according to Simon Pegg "a lot more to the
film". The shields have weakened and with this final third trailer,
I think Anton Yelchin would have wanted the show to go on.
We have
his characters he played for fans to enjoy off the big screen. They're large as life so go see
them. Rememory, We Don't Belong Here, Porto and Star Trek Beyond are
due out later in the year.
THE BRAND NEW BRIDGE OF THE USS ENTERISE NCC1701 WITH LESS FLARE LIGHTS.
Chekov, Captain Kirk and Sulu. - Star Trek 2009
Heres Anton Yelchin featured
in a Star Trek Beyond character poster as Chekov with the rest of
the crew (below) fighting off the Swarm ships in their unique Starfleet colors. Finally after a long five month delay we get to see them. Thank you Paramount Pictures.
HERES A CLOSE UP OF JAYLAH LOOKING MIGHTY BODACIOUS WITH A SAMURAI SWORD SLUNG ON HER BACK
Giacchino’s latest musical score and Pop star Rihanna's “Sledgehammer,” will also be a part of Star Trek Beyond
You might well ask who were Star Trek's aliens? Heres two standing beside Star Trek Beyond director, Justin Lin who also directed in Community and the Fast and Furious 6. Panny Pudi and Kim Kold before and after.
KIRK AND KRALL HAVE A DISAGREEMENT
IDRIS ELBA AS THE VILLAIN KRALL.
CHEKOV, KIRK AND SULU.
The rest of Star Trek's aliens include Idris Elba (Krall), Sofia Boutella (Jaylah),
Zachary Quinto (Spock), Fiona Vroom (Green Girl) and Deep Roy we know
as Scottys sidekick - Keenser. The crew of the USS Enterprise Ncc1701 is commanded by Captain James T. Kirk (Chris Pine) with Zoe
Saldana (Uhua), Karl Urban (bones), Simon Pegg (Scotty) John Cho (Sulu) and Anton
Yelchin as Chekov. You'll be able to catch them in action on July
22th when the captain breaks the Enterprise again. It seems like a fitting
end for the great ship - considering.
Star Trek Beyond trailer 2 has finally arrived. Hooray, its here! Looking back over recent memory bank records, my findings clearly indicate, Star Trek Beyond is behind Star Trek Into Darkness by at least two months but whos counting? Were you counting down the days, hungering for the next trailer?
It isn't uncommon you know, its easy to get lost in the vastness of space, theres only yourself, your ship, your crew - States the High Command of the Federation.
Fear of death is what keeps us alive says Dr McCoy. So what happens when the Federation flagship, USS Enterprise NCC 1701 is boarded by unknown "Swarm" Aliens? Whats F.B.I Agent (Chuka Ekweogwu) going to do? Unless something is done fast, Captain Kirk's crew is going to have big problems! So whats the next move???
Heres YouTuber Auralnauts remix of Star Trek Beyond's Trailer 1 from last December.
"Lets find hope in the impossible" says Kraal (Idris Elba) over the speaker system.
Really? Kraal is clever. He talks peace but hits his opponent with high energy blasts. Well enough is enough. You might try hailing this brand new Enterprise, beaming over or investigating but forget it. The real Captain James T. Kirk (William Shatner) has other ideas!
"This is where it begins Captain," taunts Kraal.
" Lock phasers on target,"
"We can only take a few more seconds of this!" warns Spock
" Mr Bailey Lock Phasers! Fire Main Phasers!"
Captain Kirk never disappoints. The USS Enterprise NCC 1701 moves in for the kill and in two blasts Kraal is spacedust. I wonder how the new movie plays out. I was laughing towards the end of this video. The classic crew have given us their classic reactions to STB villain "Kraal" first hand.
What did you think of the classic crew reactions to the enemy threat?
This week Star Trek director Justin Lin is planning some reshoots with the 3rd instalment of the rebooted "Abramsverse" movies, Star Trek Beyond. The good news is Iranian actress Shohreh Aghdashloo is joining the ranks of Starfleet's finest but what role does she play?
Fans will remember her from Rosewater, Xmen, Last stand, 24 or House of Sand and Fog. To date she won an oscar nomination and took home an Emmy for supporting actress in 2009. So whats the expose on Shohreh? We hear you ask. Well rumor has it shes important. We don't know her name yet, but shes got a seat of power at the Federation's High Command, now that gotta count for something! Personally I love the idea of having a powerful female in charge.
IMAGE OWNER/ CREATOR: PARAMOUNT PICTURES AND OR CBS STUDIOS
Will she be snarky and fierce like Fleet Admiral Alynna_Nechayev who bossed Riker around in Star Trek TNG Chain of Command P1 or something else? If Shohreh Aghdashloo (Characters Name Unknown) ordered the USS Enterprise NCC 1701 to obliterate the swarm of alien spacehips then Captain Kirk must be pardoned for wrecking the bloody ship again!
But does she give the order? What do you think?
Which of these "Captains orders" grabs your fancy?
1. Ahead Warp factor One or
2. Engage!!! Warp Nine!
“Star Trek Beyond,” hits movie theatres on July 22nd. Snarky Long and Prosper, Trekkers.
Jeffrey Scott's - Battle of the Bands regales Rockstar Aficionados all the time - so having found a Science Fiction angle, I wanted to join in the "Battle of the Bands" fun.
Star Trek Beyond's teaser trailer is exploring new territory. (Alas forget Jerry Goldsmith and
James Horner) Question: Is the Beastie Boy's "Sabotage" track punchy enough to shake up the
entire galactic Federation of Lifeforms?
We need Star Trek as a NO1 box office smash hit but Beyond has
to win over the hearts of fans first. The truth is emotional reactions are running quite high. You may remember the first time Kirk played "Sabotage" in 2009 as he drove his stepdads red corvette over a cliff.
Its time to choose 1 out of 3 songs you'd like to hear in Star Trek Beyond.
1. Sabotage by Beastie Boys
2. It's My Life by Bon Jovi
3. Womanizer by Britney Spears
Which of these 3 music tracks is your favorite for Star Trek Beyond?
Let us know your "song of choice" in the comments below.

Star Trek Beyond Will Mix Things Up in Its Plot, Jumping Forward in Time! is the latest scoop to hit
the trekkie sphere over at Master Herald. Star Trek Beyond Won't Be A Traditional Kirk-Spock
Adventure according to cinemablend. Almost everyone knows poor William Shatner is not in the movie. To keep everything on track, heres Director Justin Lin's "INSIDER VIEW" on ‘Star Trek Beyond’ Criticisms:
“We Are Trying to Be Bold and Take Risks”
was Posted by Peter Sciretta over at Slashfilm recently. Heres a few quotes from J. Linn who explains why
trek's trailer was mind boggling.... to be kind. Justin Lin Quote 1
Well, its a minute and a half, you know… And again, there were other versions that were much more
traditional and I can see where maybe the hardcore fans could probably see that as, “Oh.” But with
trailers you’re putting a two-hour movie into a minute and a half, and the one thing I wanted to
make sure is that it hopefully represents that we are trying to be bold and take risks, whether we
are successful or not, I don’t know. That was something I was excited to do and with collaborators
like Simon [Pegg] and Doug [Jung], passion for the franchise will be there regardless. So however
it’s presented, yeah it’s a minute and a half, and my challenge to everyone making the trailer is
about saying “let’s not go off course, I’m not afraid to share — share it, I feel like we have the
goods in a two-hour run and you really do get to know the characters and hopefully the journey is
great. I love it and the cast did an amazing job and the crew… and the inside baseball version of
the creation of this Trek was pretty condensed in how you usually make a movie of this size. And I
wanted us to be bold, I wanted us to take chances and hopefully in a minute and a half we are able
to convey that.
THESE ROCKS ARE NOT FAKE, WELL THATS NOT TYPICAL!
Justin Lin Quote 2
Yeah, and I don’t know if that’s the case here. When I saw the teaser, I’m like, aw shit. You
really have to put the motorcycle in there? So I get it, I get it, I get it.
Justin Lin Quote 3 (Music)
It’s in the DNA of this canon. It was in the ’09 Trek, and we went through different iterations of
the teaser and I wanted to make sure whatever here is using all the elements from the film. It’s
been a part of this Kirk’s journey and so I felt it was very organic, and it will ultimately be in
the finished film.

Justin Lin Quote 4 (Lin VS Pegg)
The one thing that was when I came on this [film project], I didn’t even realize how emotional my
level of engagement with Trek was until the first day of preproduction when I walked into the
hallway of the Enterprise and it hit me. It’s part of me but my level of engagement with Trek was
really from 8 to 18, when I would watch Trek at 11 PM on channel 13 with my dad. He worked all day,
closed shop at 9 PM and dinner at 10 and watched Trek. And so a lot of that is trying to create
something that embraces the essence of Trek for me. Simon has a very different level of engagement,
and Doug also has a very different… so it’s awesome to get in there and have those collaborators and
have that discourse about how we were going to craft this movie. ‘Cause Simon, he knows EVERYTHING
about Trek and it’s great to have those guys with me the whole way.
Art is the wonderful mirror of humanity..... When Chris Pine says this, Simon Pegg is seated looking
at him. I have no idea how Pegg kept such a straight face but he did - right to the very end of the
video - Hilarious.
Justin Lin Quote 5 (Star Trek Beyond Title)
He kind of tracked me down and we’re talking and I didn’t know what to expect. I thought maybe he
was offering to go shoot a script that existed and he said, no, it’s yours. Go and be bold. And just
take it. Be bold and make it what you think you would do to Star Trek. And the more we talked about
it, the more we kept saying, well let’s keep pushing. Let’s keep pushing. And that’s when Simon kind
of said, well it should be Star Trek Beyond. And it was his idea. And it was kind of came from all
our conversations. And we looked at each other and like oh, that sounds like the title of this film.
And the interview goes on and on. All this awesomeness over one trailer, aren't we spoilt? For more Star Trek Beyond analysis, warp over on over to Slashfilm Page 2 and Slashfilm Page 3
